Hello!

I had the idea of originally writing a book about recruiting, geared towards the teenagers navigating college golf recruiting, however after presenting the idea to my parents, they had other suggestions for the content. “A blog”, they said, “would be more geared towards your generation.” My dad said to me, “How many times have I walked into your room trying to get you to put a book down and do something else? I don’t think many kids in your generation are book worms.”

So here I am, starting a blog about my journey to and through college golf. I am from Exton, PA which is a town just west of Philadelphia. I graduated from Downingtown East High School, where I lead the girls golf team my senior year to the school’s first ever PIAA team state championship in any sport. I then continued my golf career by signing to play for Converse University. Converse is a small Division II school located in Spartanburg, SC.

There, I won two tournaments individually and broke the conference record for most Player of the Week accolades ever collected by a single player in a calendar season. I won a total of 5 before being forced to have an early exit from the spring season as a result of me entering the transfer portal. I was on track to collect Freshman of the Year in the conference, but having never gotten a chance to compete in the conference championship, I was ineligible for the award.

In March 2023, I entered the transfer portal and signed to play for Bowling Green State University, a Division I school located in Bowling Green, OH. In my sophomore season at BG, I broke program scoring records for 18, 36, and 54 holes along with currently holding the lowest single season scoring average. I collected my third collegiate win in only my third start as a falcon, and ended the season with 6 top 10 finishes while making second team all conference.

With my college resume thus far, one might assume I was a highly decorated and ranked junior golfer. However, I never competed in an AJGA tournament. I played in two AJGA qualifiers, one of which I shot 91, and in an AJGA Preview. I was considered a “late bloomer” to the game of golf as I did not become a “good player” until my junior year of high school when I began to break 80 consistently.

Recruiting can be scary, but it is a rewarding experience. You are getting to see your dream of collegiate golf spring into action after years and years of preparation. My blog is here to guide you through this challenging, but fulfilling process. Take my stories and mistakes I made along the way, and use them to create your own journey. Remember, a round of golf is a roller coaster, so take that same mentality into recruiting.
